Robust Quality Service Provisions from AJT Engineering

To further bolster AJT Engineering Limited’s robust Quality service provisions, we have successfully applied for and been awarded both BS EN 1090-2 :2018 and ISO 3834-3 :2005.

Since July 2014, structural steelwork falls under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which means structural steel CE marking must be secured to show compliance with EN 1090-1.  This service enables our Site Service Division to further support its strong customer base.

EN ISO 3834 is intended for the welding of metal materials, and its application is independent of the products manufactured through ISO 9001 : 2015. One of the aims of EN ISO 3834 is to define requirements in welding process so that contracting parties or regulators do not have to do this themselves. A reference to a particular part of EN ISO 3834 should be sufficient to demonstrate the capabilities of the manufacturer to control welding activities for the type of work being done. The standard defines quality requirements for welding both in workshops and on site, and is appropriate when demonstration of a manufacturer’s capability to produce welded construction in accordance with specified criteria is required; it can also be used as the basis for assessing a manufacturer’s welding quality arrangements.
